WEEK 10: Feedback and Evaluation from Maahad Riyadus Salihin (MRS)๐
General Briefing About the Activities
During Week 10, our class received feedback and evaluation from the management of Maahad Riyadus Salihin (MRS), West Java, Indonesia, represented by Dr. Rakhmad Agung Hidayatullah. This session was an important opportunity for us to evaluate the outcomes of our community engagement projects and to understand how our initiatives had benefited the MRS community.
Dr. Rakhmad expressed his sincere appreciation to all the students involved in Usrah in Action II, acknowledging the commitment, teamwork, and dedication demonstrated throughout the collaboration. He highlighted that our efforts had not only contributed to the development of MRS but also reflected the spirit of serving the community through knowledge and cooperation.
The online motivational talk received very positive feedback, as it successfully motivated the students and reminded them of the importance of sincerity and perseverance in seeking knowledge. The management also shared encouraging comments on the other projects completed by the different teams, including the construction documentation and reporting system, the development of the official MRS website, and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for visitor management. At the same time, several constructive suggestions were given, such as conducting motivational programmes regularly, updating the website more frequently, and continuously improving the documentation system to better serve the institution.
Overall, the feedback session demonstrated that our projects had achieved their intended objectives while also providing valuable recommendations for future improvements.
My Personal Reflection
Receiving positive feedback from Dr. Rakhmad and the management of Maahad Riyadus Salihin was one of the most satisfying moments of this course. It gave me a sense of fulfilment to know that our efforts and dedication throughout the semester were genuinely appreciated and had created a meaningful impact on the MRS community.
At the same time, I learned that every successful project should always be followed by reflection and evaluation. Constructive feedback is not meant to criticize our work but to help us improve and develop better programmes in the future. Listening to the suggestions from MRS reminded me that there is always room for growth, regardless of how successful a programme may seem.
As the leader of Team 8, I was especially grateful to everyone who contributed to this project. The encouraging feedback we received was the result of the collective efforts of all eight teams, our instructors, the representatives from MRS, and every committee member who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. This experience reinforced my belief that success is achieved through collaboration, sincere intentions, and continuous learning.
Overall, Week 10 taught me the importance of accepting feedback with an open mind and using it as motivation to improve myself. It reminded me that the true value of community engagement lies not only in completing a project but also in creating a lasting positive impact and continuously striving for excellence in serving others.
